The first time I met these guys we had arranged an engagement shoot in the Snowy Mountains.
Their Lake Crackenback Wedding at Tinkersfield was in Late October and we didn’t think we could get any snow shots.
They’re keen snowboarders and wanted to make sure they got some photos in the snow.
Their wedding day had every type of weather you can think of, Sun, Rain, Wind, Hail and even some snow!!
It was 25 degrees the day before their wedding.
It was a max of about 2 on their wedding day?
They chose this beautiful place to get married because of the dynamic environment.
Stacey’s family are from Queensland, therefore it was so different for them to be in such a dynamic environment.
Tinkersfield is a gorgeous mountain retreat in the Snowy Mountains near Lake Crackenback.
I love shooting weddings in fresh venues like this.
It’s not your standard wedding venue and has beautiful aesthetics to photograph.
I love the intensity and intimacy of weddings like Stacey and Kyll’s.
Only close friends and family were there and were all able to stay on-site at Tinkersfield.
The build-up to Stacey and Kyll’s ceremony was awesome to be a part of.
I loved seeing the emotions they both experienced leading up to their ceremony.
They were calm, excited, nervous, then excited again.
They made the decision to go with plan B and have it inside.
It was raining right up to their ceremony but as it always does when you choose plan B, the sun came out!
Having it inside made the whole ceremony more intense.
I was struggling to capture the number of tears going on in the room.
I knew the ceremony was going to be full on after seeing Stacey’s Grandmother tear up as she entered the room.
Then seeing Kyll trying to hold it together as Stacey’s proud and excited parents walked her down.
It’s really cool listening to couples reading out their vows and watching the reactions from loved ones.
Half the room was in tears as Stacey and Kyll expressed their feelings for one another.
After the intense ceremony and everyone had congratulated them we jumped in my car and found some spots indoors in some of the beautiful rooms at Tinkersfield.
We headed back to the reception the sky cleared and we even got a rainbow.
The rest of the night was a blast!
Having guests staying at the venue is the best way to do a Lake Crackenback Wedding.
